Stories from My Desk

Random things from my desk:

I can't wait to raid my bookshelf and read books again, both old and new. I've been reading a lot the past semester, but not those kinds of books that can sustain my interest. Therefore I always doze off, and that makes reading totally not fun anymore. I'm looking up Barnes & Noble and NY Times Bestseller Lists to keep me updated with the latest interesting books. Keep me updated and suggest if you know some good reads! I like fiction romance novels, or those kinds of books that Malcolm Gladwell write. So yeah :-)

I only buy CDs if I know all or most of the songs in the album. Here are some of my most favorite ones. Viva La Vida, I believe, is timeless and iconic. It is one of those CDs I will keep and I will let my children hear someday.

Oh look, it's my glue stick smiling at my cologne. Haha.

Can you guess what these are? :-) They look like butter served in the airplane, but they aren't butter-- they're honey! They give it away for free when you get full leaf teas in Starbucks. Lately, I've been consuming a lot of those teas, specifically Earl Grey and English Breakfast. Mmm. I don't put honey on my tea because I just think it just tastes, uh, awkward? The more I have of these, the more I am reminded of how often I am hanging out in coffee shops and getting caffeinated.

Or I'll Cave In

I am now sitting at my desk, back from a good sleep! I am seeing the last hint of sunlight of March 12, a Friday, and I say, it was a beautiful work week. (That, right there is the view from my window.) I received a lot of good things this week, but I am most thankful for my health. I have not exactly been eating healthily or sleeping even 5 hours everyday, but I haven't been sick since the beginning of second semester. Kids, get your regular flu shots, and pray. They both work.

We are at the last stretch of everything school-related. At the most, there are three weeks to kill. I'm so excited for summer this year. I can finally have a real vacation after three years. I won't see UP for another 2 months, which may actually make me miss it a bit. But yeah, it is my dream to hibernate, and I will finally have the chance to do it! Yay for hibernation! It's the new cool thing to do ever since polar bears were featured in Nat Geo.

Meanwhile, I have been thinking about a good de-cluttering exercise. My options include (1)Not eating McDonald's cheeseburger, (2)Cutting access to Facebook for one week, (3)Organizing the files in my external HD, (4)Stop putting nail polish for some time, (5)Going invisible in YM-- because we have to rid ourselves of unnecessary things every now and then. I'll get back to you when I already have an idea which of those I would do. You may also want to tell me which one you think would be most difficult for me. Ha!

I also need a good read, I have been in imagination rut for quite some time now.

Continuum

This video totally made me smile. If physics were taught in this manner, I would shift to BS Physics right about now.
